An award-winning copywriter and creative director. Founder of Campus Goose, a concierge service on college campuses. Founder of The Loading Dock, a special events venue. Mentor and leader in arts education and college persistence programs, with a weekend passion for construction and interior design.
A Brooklyn based Graphic Designer from Baltimore, Maryland, Abby is a graduate from Pratt Institute School of Design with a major in Communication Design and a minor in Ceramics and Sustainability. When not throwing pots, Abby throws herself into book design, web design and illustration.
Chris graduated from Dartmouth College with a double major in History and Middle Eastern studies. As a photographer, writer, and art director, Chris focuses on producing and shooting online content. Previous clients include Treat House, David Yurman, Stuart Weitzman, and Ann Taylor’s LOFT.
Alli is a New York based multidisciplinary graphic designer. Her education includes studying at the Rhode Island School of Design, Brown University, and The Royal Academy of Arts in The Netherlands. She specializes in branding and experiential design, with a background in the events industry. She has a passion for human-centered design and a soft spot for social impact work.
Joseph is a cross-disciplinary creator, coder, strategizer, and builder. He graduated in 2018 from the inaugural class of USC’s Iovine and Young Academy with a degree in Art, Technology, and the Business of Innovation. Joseph was previously a co-founder of Mira, an augmented reality hardware company which Bread Ventures invested in 2017.
Matt Taylor a.k.a. Matt Varnish (or simply “Varnish”) is a Grammy award-winning art director. He has worked with some of the most prominent names and brands in music and entertainment today from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Blizzard Entertainment. His signature work is arresting and he has a passion for the craft beer and cannabis industries.
Lillian is a visual designer currently studying in the USC Iovine & Young Academy. She loves the humanistic values of design and is passionate about community empowerment. Most of her work is in product and graphic design, but she also enjoys installation work and photography on the side.
Betsy Ellison has been Bread Ventures’ Finance guru since inception. She was a senior manager in one of the big 4 accounting firms, and was a finance executive with Merrill Lynch in both its institutional business and its corporate finance function. Betsy provides analysis for all Bread’s venture opportunities and keeps the check and balances on all the books.
